What are your school hours?

Sacred Heart remains open in person five days a week. The classroom doors open at 7:30 a.m., and class instruction starts at 8:00 a.m. Preschool provides a half day option and a full day option each day.

Transitional Kindergarten through Eighth grade school hours are from 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

The first Wednesday of every month is a minimum day, with a staggered minimum day dismissal.

How many children are in each class?

Small class sizes are important to Sacred Heart Parish School. Currently, 25 students is the cap per classroom. The preschool program hosts a 12:1 ratio following CA Community Care Licensure regulations.

How do I enroll in your school?

Sacred Heart Parish School adheres to a non-discrimination policy, and the school will not reject the application of any student based on sex, race, creed, color, religion, nationality, or ethnic origin.

How do I enroll in your preschool and Transitional Kindergarten classes?

Preschool applicants must be three years old and potty trained. It is the school’s position that children need to have reached a maturity level that reflects the social skills and attentiveness which this program requires. An application is required.

Transitional-Kindergarten applicants and parents will be asked to visit the T-K class and meet with the teacher. Prospective T-Kindergarten students are assessed, and must be 4 by September 1st. The decision to admit a student to the T-Kindergarten program rests with the T-Kindergarten teacher and the Principal.

Do I need to enroll my children in Catechism classes?

No, religion and catechism teaching are built in daily and throughout our curriculum. At Sacred Heart Parish School, students receive catechism throughout the day, primarily through religion curriculum. Students participate in mass and faith based opportunities. Students in second grade prepare in class for the sacraments of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion together.

Where can I purchase uniforms?

Uniforms can be purchased from Dennis Uniform. You can order directly from the Dennis Uniform website, www.dennisuniform.com. Our school code is M3RSAC. Please refer to our complete list of requirements via this link, dress uniform requirements. We hold a used uniform exchange and sale online and at various times throughout the year.
