Each family at Sacred Heart Parish School is required to participate in its Family Service and Family Fundraising Programs. These are two independent programs.

Family Service & Fundraising Form

Family Service Program = 20 Hours

Family service is designed to build community at Sacred Heart Parish School, while helping to keep school costs to a minimum. All families are required to participate in our school’s Family “Service” Program by agreeing to help in one or more of the following service areas between May 15, 2006 and May 14, 2007.

a) Help in the Classroom
b) Help with School/PASS activities
c) Help with Facility Maintenance
d) Help with Yard Supervision
e) Help with Food Service or Extended Care Program
f) Help with Other Parish Catholic Education Ministries (Religious Ed./RCIA)

Each family is responsible for twenty (20) hours of service, ten (10) hours in the case of a single parent family. Additional service hours, above this requirement, man NOT be applied as Family Fundraising Hours. Parent/Guardian time is a very valuable commodity; therefore, the financial responsibility in lieu of not completing the required service hours is $30.00 per hour.

Family Fundraising Program = 15 hours

Family fundraising helps subsidize individual family tuition/fee costs. Since every family shares in the benefits from the proceeds of the school’s Family Fundraising Program, all share equally in the labors necessary to assure its profitable operation. Each family, in order to benefit from the income of the “Fundraising” Program, agrees to purchase an annual amount of SCRIP, to support our school’s Casino Night, and put in a certain amount of volunteer Fundraising Hours between May 15, 2006 and May 14, 2007..

Fundraising Hours

Each family is required to put in a total of fifteen (15) hours, ten (10) in the case of a single parent family, in any of the School’s approved fundraising activities including: Fun Night, Casino Night, and/or the reverse Drawing. Volunteering with Parish Bingo, which helps to fund facilities maintenance and capital improvements, also counts as Family Fundraising Hours as does the selling of Scrip. Additional fundraising hours (above the minimum required) may be applied as Family Service Hours. Families may elect to pay a per hour fee in lieu of working fundraising hours. A $30.00 per hour fee will be assessed to families for each hour not worked below the required level.
